Expanding Fleet Alliance appoints new business development manager

To keep pace with its continued expansion and development, vehicle funding and fleet management specialist, Fleet Alliance, has appointed highly experienced fleet sales specialist Peter Horton as business development manager.

Horton, 41, has over five years’ experience in the leasing industry with companies including Inchcape Fleet Solutions and ING Car Lease, plus a further 18 years’ experience working in B2B sales in various industry sectors.

At Fleet Alliance he will be responsible for sales to mid-sized corporate fleets of 100-400 units on a national basis.

“We have seen considerable growth with medium to large sized corporate fleets this year and Peter’s experience in this area will be extremely useful,” said Martin Brown, managing director at Fleet Alliance.

“We have had an excellent year so far, up 45% on last year and have plans for further recruitment,” he added.

“I am delighted to be joining Fleet Alliance at this stage in its development,” said Peter Horton. “The company’s multi-funding model is a real differentiator in the market at the moment and is an excellent way for corporate fleets to spread their credit risk across a number of funders rather than having exposure to just one company.

“The company has a complete and comprehensive portfolio of products and services, including salary sacrifice for cars, while the latest e-fleet development will help take customer service provision to another level.

“Fleet Alliance is very professional with ambitious growth plans and I received nothing but positive feedback when I asked about the business in the industry,” he said.

Earlier this year, Fleet Alliance announced a major contract win with Gala Coral group and its 300-strong company car fleet and 180-strong grey fleet, and has recently signed its largest single fleet contract to date.
